Three emails for one team event.
How I planned the invitation and reminders for the SCAGA Team Championship.

The event
The NM/WT SCAGA Team Championship is a two-person event on The Outlaw at Alto Lakes, October 17 and 18, 2026. One $362 entry covers both partners. Entries close October 9 at 4:00 PM Mountain.
Team events have an extra step. Two people have to agree to play before anyone registers. So the emails give people time to find a partner, then remind them as the deadline gets close.
The sequence

InvitationSent September 22Everything someone needs to decide, plus a photo of last year’s teams.
One-week reminderDraftOne question: “Have your partner lined up?”
Final callDraftSent 24 hours before entries close. One line and one button.
The detail that mattered
The reminders count back from the entry deadline, not the play date. Counting back a week from October 17 would have sent the reminder after entries closed.
I checked every detail against the BlueGolf event page the day the invitation went out. The buttons shown here are pictures of the emails, not live links.
Credits
I planned the sequence and wrote and designed the emails. The SCAGA tournament staff set up the event and entries. Venue photos are from Alto Lakes. The reminder and final call were still drafts at the time of writing.
Keep looking.

Getting the New Mexico Open story out.
An amateur won by seven. I had the story page up and the newsletter version ready the same week.
